Friendly

I was letting Abby out this morning and look what we spotted on the fence. Playing peekaboo. The cat is bigger than Abby. She is a neighborhood cat and the neighbor across the street feeds her. I usually have 2 cats sleeping under my shed in the back yard at night or to find shelter in a storm. This black one and a yellow tabby. the yellow tabby frighten me yesterday morning letting Abby out. She ran out and jumped on the fence to get away. Abby never saw her.
I need to start taking out my camera when I let out Abby. I have missed a few pictures already. There was a beautiful red cardinal in the tree a true sign of spring when I went back in to get my camera it turned around.

Then the next day first thing in the morning I was letting Abby out and the black cat was sitting on top of my neighbors roof and she has a 1.5 story. When I went to get the camera the cat came down the other side.

Bath Time

We had Abby at the park for Dylan's soccer game this morning and when we came home she was all grungy.I gave her a bath in my kitchen sink. She looks pretty sad. Poor thing was shaking the whole time.

Now She is all pretty, washed, blown dry, brushed and pretty. I use a chain collar on her when I use the hair dyer on her. She really doesn't mind the dyer so much except when I do her belly. I had to get another hair dryer that has a extra low setting. it just blows hair. Anything for Abby. She got a new treat for being so good. Abby is 15 weeks old

Quilt

The raffle quilt is layered and ready to be quilted. Hopefully this afternoon I can get started.
I had trouble getting off the floor yesterday after layering the quilts Don't know how much more I can do that. I started having trouble breathing again; my heart pounding, and a burning in my chest. I rested some and was able to walk across the room to take my pulse; it was over 130. I am assuming that is high because usually it is only 65. The blood pressure is good 135/79.
At least the meds are getting my blood pressure under control
Here is Abby saying goodnite to Tim last night..
Today I have a trainer coming here to talk to me about Abby. This should be interesting. Hope it doesn't rain.

Don't you just love Surprises.? I DO!!!! Yesterday Tim brought in the mail and there was a package. I wasn't expecting anything. To my surprise I received this from my dear friend Ruthie from Israel. Lucky me and it is in my favorite color BLUE.
She made the dress form pincushion and added a red hat( Hmmmmm) and a lovely blue stick pin.

This will go on my shelf in my sewing room for display.

Yesterday I worked on the T-Shirts for us to wear during Dylan Austin's soccer games. One for Tim, me, Timmi and Harley . On the back we all have 14 ( Dylan's number). I am also going to make Abby a little dress with a soccer ball and 14 on it. Thanks to Liz from Germany for helping me out with the designs.

Soccer Time

It is time for Soccer again for Dylan Austin. Tim and I love going to watch these kids play . Also it is time for me to make our soccer shirts. I am making shirts for Tim and I, Timmi and Harley, Dylan Austin's Daddy is the coach he can't wear one. Harley's is the hardest to make cause his shirt is so little.
I still have to put Dylan's number on the back of the shirt. We will all wear these shirt as we root for Dylan's team.

All about Abby

Yesterday we took Abby to the Vets. Just normal routine but since she is still a puppy that means shots. Poor little thing; she got 4 shots.. She does try to be good but she is just so little.
Look how pretty she is laying waiting for the doctor to come in. She already had her benadryl shot. Abby weights 3.8 pounds. They know she is a princess and they treat her like one too. Abby is scheduled to have her surgery on April 10. Although she is cute as a button no puppies for her
Of course when the Doctor came in the room Abby was all over the table. I told her last month Abby got sick after the shots; even with the benadryl shot. They sent me home with some anti inflammatory drops for her. She did so much better even played outside.

Can you hear all the bids chirping? Abby will sit and watch them my our neighbor tree. Its so cute .
I have been working on the quilt that will be raffled off for my neighbor. 3 of 5 rows finished then the borders. I am hoping to have it done by the end of this week. I am just going to do some over all stippling on it. I hope I have enough floral for the backing.

Quilt Raffle

Fabric cut for raffle Quilt. The pattern I am using is a king size. I am going to cut in down smaller. I can't make it too big I won't be able to quilt it on my machine. I think I cut more than enough. I am sure I will have extra blocks.
These are the 2 blocks I am going to use in the quilt that will be raffled off for my neighbor.
I am not too sure how big this is going to be but probably between a lap and twin size

Quilt Raffle

Today would have been Samy's 12 th Birthday. I miss you baby boy. My neighbor down the street needs to have heart surgery and his insurance said they won't pay. He is pass his limit. His workplace is going to have a fund raiser for him , a BBQ. Some of the neighbors are getting together and trying to raise money for him. His doctor said he will not charge him for this operation and the hospital said they are going to lower the price. But he still needs around 10 thousand dollars, and it has to be cash to get the discount. Neighbor knew I sew and I have been asked to donate a quilt. I am more than glad to help out in any way.
These are the fabrics I am going to use. I will post pictures as I go. I have only made quilts for my family never for sale or auction. I am feeling pressure and hopes it comes out nice. Deep breaths. The quilt needs to be done before the end of April.
I received my Pincushion swap yesterday in the mail. Oh man Was I a lucky receiver. A heart shaped sachet filled with lavender, 3 beautiful blue and white fat quarters, a card that looks like a quilt, postcards from Michigan and the egg shaped pincushion all hand embroided star and dragon fly, loaded with beads. Just beautiful.. thank you Judy so very much. I love it
I was in my sewing room and Abby was in the hallways watching me.. Don't she look cute sitting there
After I took the picture she laid down on the small carpet in the hall right outside the sewing room. And look no dress. I didn't dress her yesterday.
