Using Christmas variegated yarn and a very simple pattern
Chain 32 Single crochet in second chain. single crochet in next chain. chain one. skip1 chain and single crochet in next. all across..
Chain 1 turn single crochet in next then chain one skip one single crochet single crochet in next stitch.
I made them 7 inches .
