Microwave Potato Bags

I have been wanting to make these potato bags for years. But you know how it is. Keep putting it off.
I decided  I am going to make them NOW!!! I have heard so much about them, people love them. AS long as you make them with 100% cotton fabric, batting and thread.  I have read you can use Warm and Natural that is 83.5 % cotton. I used  COTTON CLASSIC   100% organic cotton. I bought the potato fat quarter fabric about 2 years ago  I adjust one of the patterns I found on the internet. I assumed you can make them any size you want.
the paper on the bag just tells you how to use the bag if you are giving them as gifts.
( Wash and dry the potatoes...DO NOT PRICK!!!!! Wrap each in paper towel and place in bag... Microwave for usually 10 minutes... When serving open with fork ... Potato will be fluffy... let bag air dry.
The bag can be washed  but always let it air dry.)
I have even seen mini movies on YouTube about them.
Can hardly wait to try these out.
With the left over fabric from the fat quarters I made smaller ones for 1 or 2 potatoes. These would be great to take to work. I love sweet potatoes  I am going to try those as well as Spaghetti squash.
I am reading you can place ears of corn too.

I am like you - have heard about them for a couple of years now. They look lovely (anything you make does)
It would be neat if you can let us know what you think about them as you use them.

Love your blog. Haven't sewed in quite some time, you're giving me the inspiration to pull out the sewing machine in between crocheting. I'm hoping I can finally post a comment, couldn't before. Have a lovely day.

Sounds like a good idea. Does it keep the moisture in the potato better?
