Quilt

My daughter Timmi has asked me to make another Disney "CARS" quilt for Harley. She wants to put both boys in the same room and make the other bedroom into a playroom. They will be getting new bunk beds. I guess the boys have too many toys. Now how can that be? hahaha
It will be just like the one I made Dylan back in May .

Tomorrow I will be going over to Amy's and quilt the top.
After New Years I will finish the binding and make some more pillow cases.
I do plan on 2010 to be better with my blog, sewing more and catching up with ole friends.
Here is a quick picture of Harley's quilt top.

Almost Ready

Almost ready for Christmas. All the presents are bought and wrapped, decorations are done, and tonight Tim and I baked apricot kieflies. It is his mother's Hungarian recipe. It isn't Christmas without them, reminds me of home in Pittsburgh. My daughters insist we make them. I have 3 big platters full. Some are pretty; but they all taste good.

Surprise

I have been sick since Thanksgiving, getting one thing after another. It has really been the pits.
Today I received a surprise in the mail from my dear friend Ruthie in Israel.
This really put a smile on my face as I haven't talked to her in awhile with me not feeling up to par for awhile.
Thanks Ruthie you are truly a gem. In the package was this adorable snowman she made along with a cheerful red Christmas fat quarter, a ginger bread house ornament she also made.
lots of trim, a lovely decorative pin, needle holder , and tea.
