This will give you an idea of what this purple quilt will look like.
2 rows are finished and the borderwill be the dark purple. I am not sure if I will make it square of 5 rows or put 6 rows for the length. It is harder for me to quilt on my machine if it is too long. making it square would be 75 inches. I think that would be long enough. It isn't for a bed. I just like them long enough to lay under.

Sunday was a busy day. We had the boys in the morning Timmi came around noon to pick them up. We had another Thomas Festival. lol
The boys just can't get enough of Thomas.
After they had waffles and orange juice for breakfast Tim shared a donut with them.
played more Thomas

I quilted a little on my new sewing table Boy do I love it. I pull out my top drawer so the quilt won't fall on the floor too.

I was able to get more embroidery done for Harley's Quilt.

Don't forget the "Giveaway" ends today. I will post the WINNER tomorrow morning.

We had the boys all day Saturday and Saturday night. What fun we all had. We made our house into Thomas the Tank land. In every room we had something Thomas.. The boys had a blast. You can see Harley with the Circus Thomas in the Dinning room. Dylan is playing with a small Thomas on the fireplace hearth. Another one Harley is watching Thomas the Loader.

Dylan watching Thomas the Loader

Harley and Dylan with the Big Set up of Thomas in the living room. We even had one set up in my sewing room and a small one in their bedroom but I didn't get pictures of that. They went from one to another.

We took the boys outside and they played in the sprinklers. Then they decided to wash my front door.

We had a full day.

Sewing Table

I spent the day in my sewing room, rearranging and setting up my new sewing table. I will probably change things 100 times over. But this is the way it is for now. What I would really like to do is knock out one wall and go into the other room. hahaha.
Spending the day in here helped me today. I didn't really want to be in the rest of the house.
Time will heal. I have 2 quilt tops ready to be quilted. And I am working on Harley's western quilt for his "big boy bed". Today I hope to stay busy layering the 2 quilt tops getting them ready to quilt. One top I had finished just when I was moving things into this room. I forgot about it.

In Memory

We lost our beloved SamyRay yesterday. He was 10.5 years old. We are going to miss him alot.

1998 - 2008

Tuesday, July 22, 2008

I really didn't do much sewing yesterday. I ran some errands and did grocery shopping using my lined bags. I did embroider this square . I am making Harley a quilt for his big boy bed. His bedroom is western/cowboy.

We took Samy Ray to the Vets yesterday. In 1 month he lost 13.5 pounds. They did blood work and everything was in normal rage, nothing out of wack. So today we have an appointment with a specialist . I didn't know there was such a thing for pets. Ever since he had those "hot spot" he just isn't himself. He has cut down on his eating but then over the weekend he would just eat a few bites. They were talking about maybe getting an ultra sound.

The table is DONE!!!!!!!! Tim put it in my sewing room but he said not to put anything on it for 48 hours.

with the extra 2 feet leaf openI am one happy camper, Tim did a great job. I am so proud of him. I think he found his calling after he retires. hahaha
I finished my quilt top. But I will be running errands today and then I will layer the quilt since I can't put my machine on the table yet.
with blue border and the back will be the same blue.
8 more days before the GIVEAWAY . Don't forget to email if you haven't already. All are welcome .

I managed to get another 1.5 rows done on the new quilt. I now have 4 rows completed with 2 more to sew.

Tim put the last coat of polyurethane on the sewing table (I think) he will put it all back together tomorrow. (I hope) he said he wanted to see how the top turned out. I think It is great.
