Christmas Doilies

I started making my Christmas presents for some special people
A few people will be getting this crochet doily.

My daughter  Timmi didn't like the Christmas variegated.  She doesn't care for the green  She wanted blue,  because she collects nutcrackers and they are red and blue.
I still have to sew on the beads and sew the roses on the doily.

Too Many Projects

I usually finish one thing before I start another but lately that is not the case. I have stuff everywhere.
I don't know what my problem is  lol.  I have too many things going on in my mind that I want to do and not enough time.
I have even dragged stuff in the living room because I can't work in the sewing room.
The blue fabric is for my sister, Carole.  the red and green is for another wristlet I am making. The football fabric is for  Dylan and Harley (my grandsons) want  football lounge pants, I was embroidering things too I have my stablizers out   you can only see one.  Zippers are all over the floor, binding, patterns and DIRECTIONS. Then of course my crocheting. Bags and bags of thread and yarn. Bags on the floor  and I can't close the closet door now. I need someone to come in and clean up this mess.  What I need to do  is finish my projects. And here I am thinking of more projects to do for Christmas. ( slippers, a new purse, neighbors gifts and .....) never ending   Will 2013 be better?  I sure hope so. I am in a mess here.Maybe some chocolate will help. Yeaaaa chocolate.!!

Wristlet /Wallet

I have been wanting to make this for awhile now. You know you go out side for a walk around the neighborhood, just sittting out on the patio, running over to neighbors  so somewhere you don't want to take your purse and everything in it.
I have seen a few on line and I wanted alittle of this one,  alittle of that one. So I came up with mine own.
In the front I can have my cell phone and a small zipper part for cash or anything else(lip balm) .

My cell phone even has a extra padded case. It is an Otterbox case, a yellow one.( I have trouble finding my phone  I needed a bright color that I can spot right away)

The back of the case  has my ID, driver license  and/ or credit card , also a pocket for my inhailer.

 all zipped up

I am happy with it. But now  I was thinking of actually making a longer strap if I wanted to put it around my neck, keep my hands free. I did put a small tab on each side, I can connect  the strap.
AND I  am thinking of making one  bigger to hold my camera too,  maybe just thicker. I could put my cell phone and camera  in one place.   I will have to think more of what I want.  I really don't want it too big. may as well take my purse. lol
Oh  by the way, it only took 1 fat quarter. I made the lining the same.fabric. When I make another I will use 2 different fabrics.

Broken Washer

Don't you just get upset when you go and want to do a load of cloths and the washer doesn't work. Grrrrrrr. It washed but didn't spin all the water out. My cloth was still dripping wet.
I had to wrong out each piece and put them in the dryer for 2cycles.
This morning Tim looked at it and with the help of the internet he found the problem.A broken coupler. Tim is handy around the house. Thank goodness. After a trip to the parts store my washer is back up working like a charm. He is the best. Thanks hon. Now back to the laundry.

Sewing Mug Cozy

This month of September over at http://liz-moments.blogspot.com
Liz 's project is sewing case /box. one of the examples was this  coffee mug cozy. ( which I love). of course I had to make this  https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByHoZa8Z1a7CN2NjMGEwNzItNmMwMy00ZDU2LWFiOTMtYWZjZmVmNzZmNzJi/edit?hl=en_GB&pli=1
It is a great little organizer for the many pencils and markers I use in my sewing. Love all the pockets inside and out. I could even use other one.

Very handy now  My pencils and tools are within reach.

Sewing Kit 1

Here is the first of my sewing kits from Liz's sew along..
http://liz-moments.blogspot.com/2012/09/sewingroom-sewalongsewing-case-box.html

I thought this one would be easy... Yea  right.. hahahahaha
I first printed it on stock paper    too think, then on just plain white.. BORING....
then on blue regular paper, not stock.
Here are the directions.http://www.microjivvy.com/matchbook-sewing-kit

holds black thread, white thread, safety pin, 3 hand sewing needles, needles threader.cutter

I tried to get a close up of the cutter and needle threader, but you can hardly see them.
No sewing for this one  just alot of folding and gluing.
This makes it nice for traveling. It is the size of a matchbook (remember those?)
Let's see what tomorrow brings.....
