Weekend

Tim and I had the boys over Saturday night. When the sun was setting we took them outside . It has just been too hot and humid for them to be outside. The sandbox, swing, slide and of course the water kept them busy. Inside they play with Thomas. The track keeps getting bigger and bigger.

I also made a new curtain for the back door. From this to

I can roll it up to the valance.
After the boys left I gave Abby a well needed bath. Can you tell she is Daddy's little girl? She is wearing one of her new collars with bows.

I made a few more collars and leashes for a few special dogs I know.

Boys

I had the boys for the afternoon on Wednesday. After lunch they took a nap. They were really tired. I love to watch them sleep. here is Dylan sawing some ZZZZZZZZ's
Harley all snuggled with his little blanket. Tim got home from work and laid next to Harley with Abby. After nap we played with Thomas the train , had dinner then Tim and I took them home.
I made a few more dog collars for my neighbors for the 4th. One has 2 dogs a male and female. The other neighbor has a male (who makes fun of me cause I dress Abby).
As soon as I laid this on the floor to take a picture Abby came running over and sat down. It's all for her. 4 row completed. 12 more to go. It is starting to take shape and you can see the designs.

Dog Collar Bows

I made a few more Dog collars for Abby. These are very easy to make . They can be used for cats as well. The first picture is the Pittsburgh Steeler AWAY game collar and a collar for the 4th of July. The second is a really Pretty in Pink collar. the last picture is one of each that I made.
I asked "How many collars can one Puppy have? Then I thought ; how many shoes can a woman have? hmmmm Never enough. Abby and Emma will have collars for every occasion. I just may make collars for all the dogs on my street and have a fashion show.

Now back to my Daisy Doodle Quilt. Selecting fabric for each square.

Friday

Where does the week go? the older I get the faster it seems the weeks go by and months. never enough time.

I went over to Amy's today. Took a break from sewing my quilt. I started making Abby a cheerleader outfit for when football season starts. Can you tell I like being prepared. Any one that knows me I like having things done early. I am not good with last minute details. I bought this little cheerlearders pattern awhile back on the internet. It is cute but I would have done it alittle different.

Most of you all know I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; That is "STEELER COUNTRY" The Steelers are the current Super Bowl Champs, and they have won that title 6 TIMES. Amy had some NFL fabric. Now Abby has her new outfit and a new collar. YES LIZ,I bought the pattern. Can hardly wait til She wears it. I am making one for "HOME" games and one for "AWAY" games. This is the HOME game set. I had some trouble getting the hardware on the collar maybe it is because I am left handed and couldn't figure it out. But I managed. It works.

More Daisy Doodle

I can't tell you how many time I have burned my finger making the bias for this quilt . All I can say is OUCH!!!!!!!! I did finish 2 rows. Whew, Boy does it look pretty. I am pleased. So far so good. I have to make 224 -1/4 inch bias six inches long. The piece are small and I am using the steam to keep it nice and flat. I went and bought a finger protector and I should have bought 2 one for my thumb. I am loving it. When i try to take a picture Abby has to get in the middle of everything. She thinks "It's All for Abby"

Baby Jacob is doing better. Hopefully he has that little stomach virus completely out of his system.

Daisy Doodle

There is something about this quilt I LOVE IT. Did you ever just see a quilt and you had to have it. That is how I feel about this one. I GOT to have it. Now how many quilt do I HAVE TO HAVE? that is the question.
I finished the first row. There are 14 blocks in a row and 16 rows of blocks plus borders. I am debating if I will scallop the edges or keep them straight. Knowing me I will scallop. Again I have never scalloped. Maybe I will do a fast table runner and see IF I can. I would cry if I messed this quilt. Of course I could just cut the border and add more fabric if I messed up on this.
First you butt up the edges of the curve
Then ZIG ZAG them closely together.
Next add the bias
pressing each step, next sew the blocks together for each row. Look at Abby checking out my work.
I have 20 blocks finished and 204 to go. lol

Little Jacob has a stomach virus. Poor little thing. It seems it is one thing after another with him. Just when you think you got the formula right this happens.
Dylan Austin is taking swim lessons and started T-ball. Harley is upset cause he is still too young.

Over the Weekend

Abby got groomed Friday morning. Abby loves Paige, she is good for her grooming. Paige tells me Abby is her favorite.
Can you see the bug or fly in the Amy's pool? Abby wanted it and almost jumped in.

Abby likes to be close to Jacob. Jacob just had his bottle and is sleeping.
Tim and I had the boys Friday night. We had another Thomas the Tank Engine play date.
These boys love trains. I wish my dad was alive to know them . He was an engineer on a railroad. He would have shared their interest. Dylan asks about steam engines and Daddy would have answered all his questions.
Pappy putting the boys to bed. They were such good boys over the weekend.
I MADE THE DECISIONS!!!! I am making the Daisy Doodle. On Sunday I started cutting out the pieces. I still have to cut more white but this will give me a good start. I HAVE to make it now. Can't waste this beautiful fabric.
Baby Jacob starting to coo.
