Abby's Car Seat

I finished Abby's car seat. I hope this works when we are in the truck my myself.

I made 2 different linings. Just in case one gets dirty or soiled.
This way he can look out the window and see whats going on instead of being on the seat. There is a harness hook up.

Now back to my quilt

Dog Crate Bed

I just finished a large dog crate bed for the SPCA. I will drop it off on Saturday. They need these small loft beds fro the crates when they transport them to Pet Smart on Saturdays. It's 48X30

SUPRISES

I got a surprise in the mail from my dearest friend in Israel, Ruthie. She is so sweet. She told me about these wooden thimbles. Well I had to have. lol. She usually paints them but I wanted one just plain. And look all what she sends. My goodness; I must be a good girl to get all of these. I don't take good pictures any more. The fabric on the scissor holders are lovely beautiful blue hearts and white butterflies for the inside. Isn't that mushroom pincushion the cutest. and I even have a carmel candy. No calories too. Yummy. Thanks Ruthie.

Bath Time for Abby

I gave Abby another bath. She is doing so good with it. She doesn't move when she is in my kitchen sink and waits til I put a towel around her. I towel her off then give her a small treat. I blow her dry and she sits so pretty for me; very patient. The I have to brush and comb her. Most of it she is still but then towards the end she gets antsy. Now she is so pretty lets hope the rain holds off for awhile.
ALL WET

ALL BRUSHED

WOULDN"T YOU KNOW SHE NEEDED TO GO OUTSIDE. So Pretty!!!

DOGS,

Timmi stopped over with the boys and her little Emma. Abby and Emma played and played. They were so funny to watch. Look at them with all the rain we have been having both are dirty.
Bath for both this week.
Look at them : killer dogs. hahahaha
Time for a water break.
Even getting refreshed with drinking water those 2 can't stop playing. Abby is 6 weeks older and bigger but I told Timmi that Emma is the instigator; she is so cute to watch her run and pounce on Abby. Tim calls them Abba when the are together getting their names mixed.

Tents

Tim and I had the boys over last night . We put out tents for them in the back yard. We eat our pizza out there and played until the rain came. Dylan wanted to sleep out there but I told him we didn't have sleeping bags. The tents only sleeps 3 it isn't big enough for all 4 of us to sleep. We really just got it to play not for camping . Maybe when they are older we will get a bigger one. Then it really started storming again. We came inside. Neither of the boys like thunder or lightning. They kept asking Tim how long the storm was going to last. Harley fell asleep in our bed and Tim laid down with Dylan til he went to sleep.

Once it got dark the kids enjoyed playing in the tent with their cars and of course they had their flash lights.
Once it started raining alot we came inside and they took their baths and got ready for a little movie in Pappy's bed. As they were getting ready for bed Dylan Austin told me that the tents were a great idea. As long as they had fun that is all that matters. It is suppose to rain off and on all weekend. No soccer game today it was cancelled because the heavy rains. The fields are all flooded.

Pinwheel Star Quilt

I am making progress on my quilt. It is really taking time to do these blocks. I got bored just making blocks so I started doing rows.
I need change of pace. My next row takes 7 blocks I have 5 done then the next row is 9 blocks that will make it half way. For me is is hard to make sure I don't have the same fabric too close together but then not to make the block alike. The sashing has to be different too.

Abby had her check up yesterday after her surgery and no more collar. YEAAAAAAAAAAAA! I know she is happy. here she is all wet from her bath. She was a good girl getting her bath too.

All blown dry and brushed She is really getting good for me with all the grooming.
I weighted her at the Vet Abby is 4.2 pounds
After seeing these pictures she need her face trimmed.

Puppy Towels

My dear friend Liz gave me this idea; or should I say I stole it from her.
Thanks Liz, Abby and Emma will love these. I made Abby and Emma towels for when it rain and we need to wipe their paws. Or when we bathe them. These towels are OLD and I mean OLD. They were my mother in laws and I remember them hanging in her bathroom when Tim and I got married in 1972. I use them on Samy too. But since they were pink I could really make them Abby's and Emma's. I used puffy foam on them to make the lettering stand out more.

Quilt Festival

Here is my entry in the On-Line Quilt Festival of 2009. This Festival is the brain storm of Amy of http://www.parkcitygirl.blogspot.com/
My quilt was made in October 2007. The name of the quilt is Fabulous Flora . When I saw this quilt in the Quilters Magazine I knew I had to make it. There were so many pieces I remember crying and had to walk away from it several times. I thought it was going to be a UFO. But as you can see it was completed. In fact, I made another for my daughter in purple
My daughter Amy quilted it for me in a overall stipple.

Boys over Night

I love taking pictures of the boys in bed. They look like little angels even when they have given me a hard day. lol Looking at this picture I enjoy seeing the boys under one of my quilts.

We had a bad rain storm here yesterday. a few pictures
front street , we pushed our neighbors car into our drive way.

back yard

between houses front by front door

Timmi's street

I didn't get any pictures from Amy but she said her street was flooded as well up to her trees in her yard in the front. None of our homes had any water. Just the streets. But as you can see it was getting close.
